Functional Description
-The dryer operates on a consistent principle across all models. Moisture-laden air enters an air/air heat exchanger, proceeding through an air/refrigerant heat exchanger (evaporator) where its temperature drops to around 36°F (2°C), causing water vapor to condense into liquid. Condensate is collected and drained, while the now cold and dry air passes through the air/air heat exchanger for reheating to within 15°F (8°C) of the inlet temperature.
Refrigeration Cycle
-The refrigerant circulates through a compressor and condenser, where it is cooled and condensed under high pressure. Passing through a capillary tube causes a pressure drop, allowing controlled evaporation at a defined temperature in the heat exchanger. The low-pressure gas returns to the compressor for the cycle to repeat.
